📍 McGonagle’s Irish Pub – Dorchester, Boston
McGonagle’s is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant General Manager to join our leadership team. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about hospitality, team development, and delivering an exceptional guest experience in a high-volume Irish pub setting.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the General Manager in daily operations
Lead, train, and motivate FOH staff
Oversee service standards, guest satisfaction, and floor management
Assist with scheduling, labor control, and payroll oversight
Handle opening/closing duties and manager-on-duty shifts
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol regulations
Help drive sales, events, and community engagement
2+ years of restaurant or pub management experience
Strong leadership and communication skills
High-volume service experience preferred
Ability to lead from the floor and set the tone for service
Strong understanding of hospitality systems, POS, and scheduling
Flexible availability (nights, weekends, holidays)
