What You'll Do:
Provide Top-Tier Patient Care: Collaborate with your fellow EMTs and management to ensure exceptional patient care.
Respond to Emergencies: Be ready to jump into action! Emergency services operate 24/7, so your schedule will vary.
Stay Up-to-Date: Keep your skills sharp! Maintain current knowledge of standards of care, equipment, and certifications.
Be a Professional: Treat patients, coworkers, and the public with courtesy and respect.
Provide Expert Medical Care: Recognize and treat medical conditions using appropriate techniques and equipment, following all protocols.
Transport Patients Safely: Provide top-notch medical transport to facilities, prioritizing patient safety and care.
Drive Responsibly: Operate the ambulance safely and in compliance with all regulations.
Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the ambulance stocked and clean, taking pride in your workspace.
Handle Paperwork: Gather patient billing information and complete pre-hospital care reports.
Respond Promptly: Answer dispatch calls quickly and efficiently.
Follow Procedures: Transport patients according to established policies.
Participate in Special Programs: If qualified, join our Pilot Program and take on additional responsibilities.
Tackle Other Tasks: Be ready to help with other duties as needed.
What We're Looking For:
Valid NY State EMT certification.
Valid NYS Driver's license (minimum 2 years) with a clean driving record.
Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to lift, push, and pull 125 lbs. or more.
Full COVID-19 vaccination.
Flexibility to work Fridays and either Saturday or Sunday.
Adherence to Pilot Program requirements, if participating.
What We Offer:
Competitive pay, up to $26 per hour (standard hourly rate range without incentives is $21 - $23 per hour).
$3,000 Sign-On Bonus.
$1,500 Referral Bonus.
$2.00 differential for overnight and weekend shifts.
