Job Description

We are in need of a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in wound care for home-based nursing services in Taylor, MI. This position is on an as-needed basis. Key duties involve supervising IV treatments, educating patients on care protocols, and upholding a safe and professional patient environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong expertise in managing IV lines and tubes, administering medications, and providing valuable support to patients and their families. Responsibilities:

  • Assess and monitor patients' responses to intravenous medications and treatments in a homecare setting in Taylor, MI, US
  • Provide clear and detailed explanations of procedures while consistently monitoring patients' vital signs
  • Administer prescribed therapy, hydration, blood components, and medications to patients efficiently
  • Work closely with physicians and oversee infusion equipment to ensure optimal patient care
  • Handle emergency situations promptly and seek external help when needed
  • Create a professional and safe environment that fosters positive patient care experiences at home
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of pharmacology and maintain accurate documentation practices
  • Follow strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections effectively
  • Utilize exceptional clinical skills gained through a nursing education program to deliver outstanding care to patients
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in initiating and managing peripheral IVs, arterial lines, and various intravenous access devices
  • Skilled in overseeing infusion equipment and ensuring the patency of lines
  • Experienced in evaluating patients' responses to medications and monitoring for potential drug complications
  • Strong in documentation practices and upholding infection control protocols
  • Possesses excellent clinical abilities obtained through nursing education
  • Capable of setting up and monitoring IVs, administering injections, providing tube feedings, and changing dressings
