Job Title: HR Investigator
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated HR Investigator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in conducting workplace investigations, managing employee data, and fostering an inclusive work environment. This role involves investigating workplace issues raised through internal company channels and maintaining confidentiality while supporting both hourly and salaried personnel.
Responsibilities
+ Investigate workplace issues and concerns raised through internal company channels by taking statements from hourly employees regarding their complaints.
+ Prepare, track, and maintain appropriate investigation documentation.
+ Manage employee data and statements in a highly confidential manner.
+ Foster an effective, inclusive work environment and culture, balancing employee advocacy with stewardship of company goals and values.
+ Provide support to salaried personnel as appropriate.
+ Support all health and safety requirements of employees as applicable.
Essential Skills
+ 5 or more years of experience conducting investigations, including interviewing, dispositioning, and overall case management.
+ 5 or more years of experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
+ Proficiency in human resources, compliance, investigation and analysis, and employee relations.
+ Experience with Employee Relations and Employee Engagement.
+ Strong communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience working in a manufacturing and/or unionized environment.
+ Investigative and reporting skills.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.29 - $40.29/hr.
