For those planning to spend time on campus during the summer, please note that dining options will differ from the academic year.
All retail outlets will be closed, including Starbucks. However, The Caf will remain open to serve our camp and conference guests, and faculty and staff are welcome to dine in The Caf during its operating hours.
If you’re working on campus during the summer for the first time, please be aware that our menu offerings cater to the tastes of teenagers, featuring items like macaroni, pizza, and hot dogs. However, our salad and soup bar will continue to offer its usual selection.
Catering
Our catering department will be fully operational over the summer and available to accommodate departmental or area events. Orders can be placed via your OneLogin dashboard using the Catertrax app or by emailing catering@carthage.edu.
Starting Tuesday, July 1, the faculty and staff meal block plan will increase by $10, making it $77.00 for ten meals. Despite this adjustment, it remains an excellent value. Faculty and staff can take advantage of the current $66.00 rate by purchasing a meal plan before the July 1 increase. Meal swipes never expire — whether you dine regularly in The Caf or just stop by occasionally. Faculty and staff can purchase a meal block plan at any time at The Caf or Lentz Do Lunch during their regular hours of operation.
Meal block plans are available for summer residential students who wish to eat in The Caf over the summer. You may purchase a block plan of 10 meal swipes for $90.00, 25 meal swipes for $225.00, or 50 meal swipes for $450.00. You can purchase a summer meal block plan at the register of The Caf any time during operating hours. Unused summer meal swipes expire on Friday, Aug. 22.
Periodic updates regarding campus dining will be provided on The Bridge, and you can find more information on the dining web page. For general questions, please feel free to contact dining@carthage.edu.
