We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health! **Organization:** ABSMC-Ashby Campus **Position Overview:** - The Lactation Consultant is responsible for providing lactation consultation and education for breastfeeding mothers at Alta Bates Medical Center regardless of age, race, religion, ability, and economic or social status. - The Lactation Consultant has excellent assessment and implementation skills to assist the breastfeeding mother attain her individual goals. **Job Description** : **EDUCATION** Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred **CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE** RN-Registered Nurse of California Required BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Required CLE-Certified Lactation Educator upon hire Required IBCLC-International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, within 2 years of employment Required **EXPERIENCE** Minimum of two years experience in perinatal nursing or perinatal education Preferred. Minimum two years experience counseling breastfeeding women Preferred.
