Job Title: Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Location: Cooperstown, NY

Assignment Length: 3+ Months (Extendable)

Shift: Rotating

Compensation:

• Travel Weekly Gross: $ 2,829.96 for 36 hours | W2 - $44

• Local also Accepted 

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join a high-volume Birthing Center that serves multiple counties in central New York. The unit averages ~1,000 deliveries annually and provides a collaborative, patient-centered environment supported by midwives, obstetricians, anesthesiologists, lactation consultants, and highly trained nurses.

• Provide comprehensive care for patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.

• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesia providers, and support staff to deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care.

• Support obstetric and neonatal emergencies, including high-acuity cases.

• Assist with fetal monitoring, including AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring standards.

• Educate patients and families on the birthing process, recovery, and newborn care.

• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

• Minimum 2+ years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience.

• Active RN license.

• Certifications:

  • BLS (AHA)

  • ACLS (AHA)

  • NRP

  • AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring
