POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Copywriter, Ecomm develops compelling, brand-relevant product storytelling that lives across various online retail platforms. With an eye for detail and a passion for content writing, this role crafts the thoughtful, search engine-optimized wording that turns prospective e-commerce shoppers into engaged, brand-loyal customers. If you’ve ever bought something from Amazon, Walmart.com, Kroger.com, Target.com or other retailer sites, an Ecomm Copywriter’s work helped guide you along the journey. Our ideal candidate has strong experience writing compelling PDP copy for national retailers, understands keyword strategy and SEO, and is a sharp, creative writer. The candidate also has a keen eye for details, strong command of grammar and spelling, and the ability to follow a style guide and edit/proofread one’s own work. Experience in the food and beverage industry is a plus!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Writes high-quality, SEO-optimized product page copy for consumers shopping at various online retail platforms
  • Conducts keyword research and optimizes product titles, product descriptions and bullet points; identifies relevant, highly ranked keywords for consumer-facing copy and the back end
  • Writes creative and descriptive copy for image tiles, below-the-fold enhanced content, retailer brand stores, sponsored ads, and additional digital content
  • Creates compelling headlines and engaging body copy that capture the target audience's attention while staying true to brand, regulatory, and retailer requirements
  • Adapts tone of voice and word choice for different brands and appropriately tailors the message for different audiences
  • Juggles multiple projects at once, managing time and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment 

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism or related field.
    6+ years of previous Communications, Journalism experience.
  • This role is ongoing support for our Brand Experience team. The salary range for this role is $80 - $95,000. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future.
  • Periodic travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
