Role Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Applications Development Expert to support and enhance enterprise Java applications. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing scalable, maintainable, and robust software solutions in a hybrid work environment. The role demands leadership, deep technical expertise in Java/J2EE, integration with complex business rules engines, and experience in the healthcare domain.

 

You’ll be responsible for (Responsibilities):

  • Design and develop enterprise-level Java applications and integration solutions.
  • Use platforms like Angular, PostgreSQL, Corticon Rules Engine, and MongoDB.
  • Execute upgrades to Java and related components.
  • Establish and implement coding standards, reusable architectures, and best practices.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and application logic.
  • Conduct unit, integration, and acceptance testing.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with business, QA, and PMO teams to meet deadlines and compliance requirements.
  • Adhere to all security and change control policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years in enterprise IT application design/development/support.
  • 6+ years in healthcare IT systems (SBM, ACA, HHS, etc.).
  • 6+ years developing Java apps with business rules engines.
  • 4+ years leading developer teams.
  • Proficiency with Eclipse IDE, SVN/GIT, REST Services, Java design patterns, and SOA.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and Agile development experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

    • 10+ years in public-facing application development.
    • 8+ years with Java stack: Spring, Hibernate, Web Services, ESB.
    • 5+ years in frontend integration and cross-team collaboration.
    • 5+ years working with Health Exchange or Eligibility Systems.
    • Advanced SQL skills (PostgreSQL or other RDBMS).
    • Experience with content management integrations and architectural design patterns.
