Job Title: TIG Welder

Shift: 1st Shift

Location: Wyoming, MI

Pay: Up to $26/hr.

Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join their manufacturing team. This role is responsible for producing high-quality TIG welds on stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals while following blueprints, specifications, and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, take pride in their workmanship, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and other specified metals.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, fabrication drawings, and welding symbols to ensure accurate welds.
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, fitting, and cleaning components prior to welding.
• Inspect finished welds for accuracy, strength, appearance, and adherence to specifications.
• Use weld gauges and precision measuring tools to verify tolerances and quality standards.
• Maintain welding equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies at all times.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and output goals.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of TIG welding experience preferred; entry-level candidates with formal training or schooling will be considered.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Familiarity with weld gauges, measuring tools, and inspection techniques.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Welding certification is a plus, or willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
